Hotel Ovidius - Sulmona

The hotel has fine mountain views that take your breath away.

During my 3-night stay, I found the spa services quite limited, quite disappointing because I was really looking forward to relaxing after a long day of exploring. The restaurant was closed for the first two nights, leaving me without dining options on-site. This, as I had to venture out to find food instead.

Fairly clean and nicely decorated hotel, favourable and lovely location up in to the mountains. Great views of mountain and sumptuous breakfasts with ordering eggs and nice view, as example. Location adjacent to town centre, easy walking distance to restaurants, and city center.

The location is great and excellent and they have parking on-site. And it's at a medium distance from downtown.

Charming atmosphere in Ovidius with fine mountain views from the 3rd floor room. Loved the spacious and clean room that was decorated with thoughtful personal touches. Very comfortable bed ensured great sleep. Breakfast selection was plentiful, with local cheeses and a lovely variety of pastries, but I found the lack of hot dishes a bit disappointing. The free shuttle from the train station was a great perk. The spa services required reservations and were limited, a bummer since we wanted to enjoy it without stress. Communication gaps from the staff made it tricky at times to find breakfast services. I would return for the cozy charm and mountain views.

Really good gluten-free breakfast options delighted us, but breakfast items ran out too quickly. Enjoyed excellent bike tours nearby.

A warm family touch

From day one, the staff welcomed me with open arms. The breakfast spread was plentiful, and I enjoyed delicious local cheeses while gazing at fine mountain views. The free shuttle to the train station was a lifesaver!

I had a lovely 3-night stay with beautiful mountain views from my room and an impressive breakfast selection. The vegan gluten-free options were out of this world, but I wish breakfast started earlier since items often ran out. Would absolutely return!

The staff went out of their way to accommodate us, even offering early check-in and a free ride to the station when we checked out. The mountain views from the dining room were amazing.

Wasn't exactly a bargain, but it was still reasonable.

Amazing hotel with free wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a lovely bar/lounge area. On my first stay, the friendly staff guided me to local attractions. I highly recommend enjoying the breakfast!

The third-floor room had beautiful mountain views. I loved the free shuttle service to the station and local spots. The spa was a serene escape, and the cooking class with Antonella was a highlight.

The atmosphere was super friendly, and we really reminded me of family. Breakfast brought to the room was perfect for my solo mornings.

The location is great and easily accessible from Piazza xx Settembre, while the rooms are contemporary and amazing, providing fantastic views through the large windows.

The hotel was truly a wonderful stay of 8 nights. the location near Sulmona cathedral was great. - the staff was nice and pleasant, providing advice and suggestions.

We had a great time staying at this place, it's super nice and a really good hotel with awesome staff who were happy to help us change our room when we asked 😊.
